Vienna, VA — The Information Dissemination Branch (IDB) of the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. (VMD) a 3.5 year prime contract to provide comprehensive web design support.
Under the scope of this contract, VMD, an ISO 9001:2008 certified technology provider, will implement a multitude of web design and web development services in support of NSF's web sites and business applications. Deepti Malhotra, VMD’s CEO stated “VMD is excited to be selected by the National Science Foundation to provide web design and development services. We look forward to a successful long term partnership with the NSF.”
Implementation activities encompassed by the NSF contract include web site development support; Information Architecture; User Interface (UI) design; application development support; Section 508 compliance; interactive Flash development; and overall project management support. In addition, VMD will support NSF modernization goals for its own public facing website, NSF.gov. With the contract underway, VMD's team is already engaged in multiple implementation projects in support of IDB initiatives.
The Information Dissemination Branch (IDB) of the Division of Administrative Services (DAS) manages National Science Foundation’s (NSF's) web site, nsf.gov, which provides a variety of information to a broad community of interest, including researchers, the primary and secondary education community, the media, Congress and other government agencies, the business community, students, job seekers, and the general public.
