Vienna, VA – VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. (VMD) recently entered into a Mentor-Protégé agreement with McNeil Technologies, Inc. (McNeil), under the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program. Through the agreement, McNeil will provide mentoring to VMD in areas such as corporate management and technical assistance; business development assistance; and infrastructure development support. This partnership between McNeil and VMD will foster collaboration, which will allow VMD to grow and increase its strength within federal government consulting services. The agreement will also allow the two companies to create joint ventures for the acquisition of larger-scale federal contracts.
The SBA Mentor-Protégé Program was created to motivate and encourage large firms to assist small business entities that are certified through the SBA 8(a) Program. The mentors share expertise, resources, and capabilities with the protégés as well as assistance in performing prime contracts as joint venture partners.
According to Deepti Malhotra, CEO of VMD, the partnership will be mutually beneficial for all parties. “VMD is honored to be participating in the Mentor-Protégé program with McNeil and looks forward to the long term benefits that we will be able to provide to our customers,” said Ms. Malhotra. “Combining VMD’s core technical expertise with McNeil’s long term customer relationships allows our team to support the changing needs of our Federal Government clients on an enterprise wide scale while at the same time delivering innovation and agility inherent in small businesses.”
