Vienna, VA — VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. (VMD) today announced they have been awarded three contracts by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), with a total value approaching $1 million. The ACC, a non-profit organization focused on advocacy, education, and access to information in the field of cardiology, advocates standards for cardiovascular care through education, research, and development of health guidelines.
In the primary project, the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) platform modernization, VMD will lead the effort to design and implement a data warehouse solution to analyze data collected from physicians nationwide. The other two projects support the Improving Cardiac Care (IC3) Program Pilot Web Collection System and Data Warehousing initiatives, and the development of the CardioPath clinical decision support engine. All three initiatives will vastly improve how critical data is collected by ACC and provided to cardiology professionals nationwide.
