VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. Awarded It’s ISO 9001:2000 Company Certification

Vienna, VA — VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. (VMD) today announced the award of their ISO 9001:2000 Certification. The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards.

“This certification is a major milestone and reinforces VMD’s continuing commitment to excellence in all company areas including products, services, internal and external management, and most importantly, to our customers,” stated Deepti Malhotra, CEO of VMD. “We are very pleased to have successfully completed our ISO registration efforts and registration audit without any noncompliances. By adopting ISO standards as our own, we are able to ensure sustained quality in all of our lines of business and do it economically.”

Dr. Terry Bannister, Vice President of Proposal Development and Quality Assurance for VMD and herself a certified QMS Lead Auditor, was the driving force behind this major undertaking. Dr. Bannister explained, “The ISO Standard is under the control of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and serves as a bridge between the public and private sectors. The impact of global standards in areas such as products, services, and manufacturing, enables and facilitates world trade; safer, cleaner, and better products; as well as customer satisfaction. Achieving this certification verifies VMD’s continuous commitment to process improvement and customer satisfaction through the implementation of our Quality Management System (QMS).
