Ms. Malhotra brings more than 12 years of experience in management and project delivery to her responsibilities as VMD’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Her background spans across multiple disciplines within healthcare IT at both public and private sector organizations. She is also an expert in program evaluation, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, data policy studies, and community assessments.
As VMD’s co-founder, she has also served as the CEO since 2005, guiding the company’s overall strategic vision as well as providing day-to-day management and oversight. Together with VMD co-founder Vivek Malhotra, Ms. Malhotra has grown VMD from a very small business into a profitable company that is recognized for its ability to help customers solve complex operational challenges. Her relentless focus on delivering customer value has been instrumental in the doubling the company’s size each year since she joined VMD. Today, she leads a VMD team of more than 100 employees.
Prior to joining VMD, she was a Senior Manager at The Lewin Group where she helped to build its healthcare IT division. Her clients included the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS). Ms. Malhotra is a member of Vistage and is also currently involved in several industry organizations including AFCEA, IAC, and Women in Technology.
Ms. Malhotra received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Mr. Vivek Malhotra applies more than 17 years of senior leadership and technical experience in providing IT services to both government and private sector customers. His expertise spans across multiple disciplines, including systems design and requirements; system architecture; and application development. This combination of skills and experience means that he understands the challenges VMD customers face from a balanced perspective that spans management, finances, and technology.
In his role as Chief of Strategy, Mr. Malhotra is responsible for driving VMD’s strategic growth by clearly positioning the company’s expertise within markets that need its capabilities, identifying the customers it can best support, and winning contract awards to provide its services.
Mr. Malhotra holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Washington University and Computer Science from Knox College.
Mr. Anthony Salvi has joined VMD to lead our organization under Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Deepti Malhotra. Mr. Salvi joins VMD from MetroStar Systems where he was COO and previously CACI where he served as Senior Vice President. He has more than 31 years of technology and management experience focused on federal government customers and brings Department of State, Department of Justice, FBI, Homeland Security, U.S. Marine Corps and Navy expertise to VMD. His passion developing and implementing strategies to win new business has led to major awards including: DHS EAGLE II, DOJ ITSS 4, FBI ITSSS, DHS NPPD Watchdesk, FEMA NCP, DoS SASI and many task orders under these IDIQs. Mr. Salvi’s emphasis will be on focusing and integrating business development, capture and operations to continue and accelerate VMD’s business growth.
Mr. Salvi is a graduate of the University of Buffalo (BS in Mechanical Engineering) and George Mason University School of Management (MBA) and he is involved extensively in leadership development programs, including ACT/IAC where he served as Industry Chair for the Partners Program.
Gregg Leone is the Executive Vice President of Business Development where he is responsible for articulating and executing the company’s strategic growth in an every changing industry. He has over 20 years of government IT contractor experience in leadership, strategy, and portfolio management roles. Prior to joining VMD, he was the Vice President at CACI leading all of the Federal Civilian IT business, and was successful in aligning capabilities to customer needs, winning over $800M in new awards in the Federal Civilian market.
Mr. Leone is a graduate of James Maddison University (B.S. in Integrated Science and Technology, concentrations in Information and Knowledge Management and Engineering Manufacturing).
Mr. Lenny Holland started at VMD in January of 2015 and is our Executive VP for Government Solutions. In this role, he oversees all of VMD’s Government Services. He provides broad based leadership for the company with a particular emphasis on delivering flawless program performance that fosters positive customer relationships setting the stage for long term company growth. Mr. Holland brings over 20 years of federal government program management and business development experience where he has worked with NASA, DHS, HHS, DOD, and DOJ customers.
Prior to joining VMD he served as Executive Capture Manager with AT&T Government Services where he was charged with winning strategic opportunities. Mr. Holland was also Sr. Program Manager with Lockheed Martin and ran programs valued up to $500M. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland University College and a Master of Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. Nydia Delgado-Garcia joined VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. in 2012 to lead the Airport Passenger and Baggage Screening contracts for the organization. She brings more than 13 years of experience in operational excellence and government contracting to VMD. In her role as Vice President, she oversees all of VMD’s Aviation Security Services and brings extensive knowledge and experience to the company’s aviation security program which includes day-to-day oversight of current Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Screening Partnership Program (SPP) contracts all the while building sustainable customer relationships and solutions. Prior to joining VMD, Ms. Delgado-Garcia served as Program Manager/Director with McNeil Technologies Inc./AECOM overseeing multiple simultaneous contracts with TSA, NGA and DOD. Ms. Delgado-Garcia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Strayer University.
Mr. Brokaw is responsible for strategic growth at VMD, successful use of VMD’s existing GWAC contracts, and expanding its customer base. He has been with VMD since it was founded and led application development, cybersecurity and IT modernization efforts for VMD’s major federal clients. Mr. Brokaw also served as the director of VMD’s strategy and management consulting practice. In that role, he led efforts at numerous government agencies to deploy solution development lifecycle (SDLC) processes while delivering enterprise software solutions, agency-wide information assurance programs, and infrastructure implementation and support efforts.
Prior to joining VMD, Mr. Brokaw served as the Director of Strategy Consulting Services for DDLabs, a software development and consulting firm. While at DDLabs, he successfully developed the strategy behind the company’s transition from project-based consulting to dedicated technology development outsourcing, while also leading the firm’s strategy consulting practice. Mr. Brokaw began his career in the investment banking industry where gained expertise in the analysis of market trends and financial statements of public companies.
